“It’s a criminal offence for employers to not pay someone the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage, or to fake payment records”.

Our advice:  Don’t confuse the national living wage rate for those aged 25 and over with the voluntary living wage which is £8.75 per hour as recommended by the Living Wage Foundation.  Also be mindful that from the 6th April 2018 workplace pension contributions for both employee’s and employer’s also go up; so be prepared to see your staffing costs increase as a whole.
